not think that this knowledge should matter to the consumer and that may be
true, but it absolutely should matter to the vendor, because without this
knowledge a vendor is nothing more than a middle man whose relying on the

Here at Solatron if an inverter doesn't meet certain electromechanical standards, it will not make it on to our web pages. Before an inverter does make it on to our web site, It must undergo a series of rigorous tests. First they're checked for fit and finish, next we'll determine whether the unit was constructed using modern pick and place robotic manufacturing techniques or whether the components were manually placed ? Was the circuit board wave soldered or was it hand soldered ? Are the all important Field Effect Transistors US or European made or are they Chinese Knockoffs ? What tolerances are used in the resistors and are they carbon or metal film ? Is any type of conformal coating used on the circuit board ? How does the inverter hold up to inductive surges ? Does the protective shutdown circuitry work within tolerance ?
Very few products survive our demanding tests, the few that have are offered here and elsewhere on our web site.
