Thinking about installing solar tiles or solar shingles ?

And are you thinking about inviting a solar dealer into your home for a presentation?

Better read this !

There's a reason why some dealers that offer solar tiles or solar shingles won't post their prices on their web sites or literature,  it's called "STICKER SHOCK !"

Systems that utilize solar tiles or solar shingles can be one and a half to twice as expensive to purchase and install when compared to  the more popular conventional solar module design. And what in the world do you do when it comes time to re-roof your home if you develop a leak.

Another issue that needs to be addressed with the use of solar tiles is heat build up. In conventional solar panels air is allowed to flow both above and beneath the solar panels surface. This flow of air helps to cool the solar panel which boosts its efficiency thus creating more power. When using traditional solar tiles, air flow beneath the tile is limited. This can cause the tile to trap more heat the than a conventional solar panel. The hotter a solar panel gets, the less power it will produce. Solar panels work off of light not heat ! In fact the most power your system will produce will be on a cold winter day with the sun shining at full brightness.

High Pressure Salespeople !

Some solar dealers insist upon coming to your home so that they can use their high pressure sales tactics to get you to sign on the dotted line and buy their high priced products. (Have you ever sat in a used car sales office ?) One tactic might be to bait you into an sales appointment with the esthetics of solar roofing tiles and then switch you into a conventional solar panel system once you've discovered how expensive solar tiles are.

The only problem is that yes, their conventional system prices will be lower than their tile system prices, but their conventional system prices will still be thousands of dollars higher than our prices for the same product.

During a recent call to one of the dealers who advertises on the Internet, I pretended to be a customer and was amazed at the questions that the sales person was asking while attempting to get me to allow her to set up an appointment at my home. She wanted to know my home phone number, my cell phone number, my email address, my wife's name, her cell phone number, what time I got home from work and on and on, I finally had to tell her that my lunch break was over and I had to get back to work, she wouldn't let me off the phone.

The bottom line is that choosing a solar system for your home is simple and can be done in just a few minutes over the phone. You tell the dealer how many kilowatt hours per month you would like to eliminate from your bill and the dealer gives you a price for a system that will produce that much power, done !

That's of course unless you enjoy inviting a high pressure sales person into your home that's going to use every gimmick in the book to get you to sign his or her contract.

When you call us, we will never pressure you to buy one of our systems and we will never insist that we come to your home to explain the process to you. A solar system that's priced right and installed by a company who has successfully been the business as long as we have, sells itself ! No gimmicks, no pressure, no problems.

Our solar panel systems are priced thousands of dollars less than the competition and utilize brand new top of the line components
