These RV solar kits were designed with just two things in mind, performance and
reliability. Our system engineering staff spent more than eight months
considering every detail. Customer preferences, real world reliability,
electromechanical durability, ergonomics, even the ease of understanding the
operator's manual was considered.
Our level of standards were tough, if a product didn't make the grade, it didn't make it into these kits !
Manufacturers claims and marketing brochures had no bearing in our selection process. All that mattered to our staff was, what was under the skin of the products that were evaluated. Was the inverter and charge controller constructed using modern pick and place robotic manufacturing techniques or were the components manually placed ? Were the circuit boards wave soldered or were they hand soldered ? Are the all important Field Effect Transistors US or European made or were they Chinese knockoffs ? What tolerances were used in the resistors and were they carbon or metal film ? Was any type of conformal coating used on the circuit board ? How did the inverter hold up to inductive surges ? Did the protective shutdown circuitry work within tolerance ? Our staff had lots of questions and they made sure that they got answers.
One thing that was settled early on in the design of these kits was that there would NO COMPROMISES !
literally every single component that was considered for these kits was scrutinized down to it's very fabric. No matter how insignificant a component may seem to a casual observer, if it wasn't right on spec, then it was out. Our staff sweated the details so you wouldn't have to !
